School Examinations

Evaluation and assessment policies

In all examinations, students must obtain at least 35% marks to pass, and 90% marks for special or excellent proficiency.
A student who remains absent from an examination for any reason may not be permitted to take a re-examination.
A student who has not paid the required school fees may be deprived of the opportunity to appear for the examination.
A student who remains absent during the annual examination may lose the marks for that examination.
A student caught cheating or using unfair means in an examination may have her paper cancelled and be awarded zero marks.
Students having less than 75% attendance will not be permitted to sit for the annual examination.

Leave for Absence

Attendance and permission rules

Students should attend school regularly. Leave will be granted only on the basis of a written application from parents/guardians for genuine reasons.
More than two days' leave for attending a brother's or sister's wedding will generally not be accepted.
Students are expected to return to school within two days after the end of their sanctioned leave.
Students will be subject to disciplinary action if they remain absent without sanctioned leave.
